A Winter Wedding at West on the Green, Glasgow

It's been a while since I've been able to sit down and write about some of the amazing weddings I've been doing, turns out having a new born baby and working from home is a tricky combination!  The baby is beginning to get into a routine, and so am I!  I thought I'd get the ball rolling again by sharing some photographs from George and Clare's stunning sunny wedding at Dryburgh Abbey Hotel. It was the first wedding I had back after taking a short paternity leave, and it couldn't have been easier to photograph.  The day was full of handmade and DIY touches, including bunting on the trees, a huge fire pit, and (most importantly) a refurbished 1930's beer pump.  After ...

A Winter Wedding at West on the Green, Glasgow

Saturday may have had the royal wedding as the main focus for some, but for me the focus was on David and Hayley's amazing wedding at Windmill Barn in Dunfermline. It was such a beautiful and sunny day, and the barns had an abundance of picturesque surroundings that made the whole experience an absolute joy to photography. An outdoor ceremony, games on the grass, s'mores in the evening - this wedding had it all! David also runs the wedding stationary company Bottled Love, so all the signs around the venue were extra special. There was even a magazine for all guests about the couple, which used some of our pre-wedding photographs in such a unique way.Check out some of the shots below, ...

A Winter Wedding at West on the Green, Glasgow

Last weekend I headed back up to the Lodge on Loch Lomond to photograph Christina and Nicola's big day, and it's one I'd been looking forward to for a long time! We had such a great time taking their pre-wedding photographs (with the help of their rescue dog Millie), and having photographed and played with Christina's band Run into the Night several times, I knew we were all in for a great party. The entire day took place at Lodge on Loch Lomond, from the morning preparations right up until the midnight bus home. That gave us plenty of time to wander around when it got a little bit quieter, although a hard part with things like large group shots here are the customers and other ...

A Winter Wedding at West on the Green, Glasgow

Hello! It's been a while since I've had a chance to sit down and write a blog post, I've just been busy with shooting and re-organising behind the scenes. Wedding season is now well and truly in full swing though, so I'm excited to show you all what I've been up to!Today I'm happy to share some photographs from Stephen and Lorna's beautiful wedding at Kilbowie St Andrews Parish Church / Bothwell Bridge Hotel, with a detour for photos at the stunning Viewpark Gardens. After a great ceremony which included Final Fantasy music (big thumbs up from me!), we headed to Viewpark Gardens with the wedding party and immediate family for some intimate group shots. I honestly couldn’t believe ...

A Scottish Cathedral Wedding in February

A Winter Wedding at West on the Green, Glasgow

A very, very belated Happy New Year everyone! I'd taken a little extended break over Christmas and New Year to organise myself and move things around a little, but I'm finally able to sit down and write a little. I'm really looking forward to shooting my weddings this year, and I can't believe how fast the time has went from when I first met up with my couples to now!   I thought I'd look back at Richard and Nina's wedding at St Mirin's Cathedral last year, as it's coming up to their one year anniversary this month. It was a beautiful ceremony inside the wonderful decor of the Cathedral, and although the clouds were overhead for the whole day, the rain stayed (mostly) ...
